Bridgette Greenhaw, Literacy Bridge’s Program Director, is traveling to Ghana on July 29. In Ghana, she will work with Andrew Azzabanye Bayor, the Country Director of Literacy Bridge in Ghana, and Fidelis Da-uri, Program Staff, on the implementation of the Maternal and Child Health Program and to expand Literacy Bridge partnerships with Ghanaian government ministries.
“I am very excited about this trip! I have only ‘met’ Andy and Fidelis via Skype and email, so I am very much looking forward to meeting both of them in person,” says Bridgette. “While I have been to Ghana before, I have not traveled to the Upper West Region. I am excited to see the region and to visit some of the communities in which Literacy Bridge is currently working; I am also looking forward to having Ghanaian food again – I absolutely love Jollof rice (a spicy, local rice dish)!”
Find out next month when she will share her experiences in Ghana.
